What you'll do

  • We are looking for an experienced Sr.
  • Officer – Tender to manage the end-to-end tendering process for Bharat Wire Ropes Ltd.
  • The candidate will be responsible for identifying relevant tenders, evaluating tender requirements, preparing technical and commercial bids, coordinating with internal departments, ensuring timely submissions, and tracking tender outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Government, PSU, EPC and industrial tenders, with strong knowledge of e-tendering portals and tender documentation.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete tender lifecycle from tender identification to final submission and order/LOI follow-up.
  • Identify and evaluate relevant tenders through GeM, CPPP, Government/PSU portals and other e-tendering platforms.
  • Review tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, commercial terms, BOQ, EMD requirements and contractual conditions.
  • Conduct preliminary tender qualification and feasibility analysis based on company capabilities, technical requirements and commercial terms.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial bid submissions in line with tender requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Technical, Production, Quality, Finance, Legal and Management teams for required inputs and approvals.
  • Prepare and manage tender-related documentation including EMD, Tender Fee, Bank Guarantees, declarations, undertakings, OEM/manufacturer authorizations and compliance documents.
  • Coordinate with the technical team for preparation of technical compliance statements, deviations and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with the commercial/finance team for pricing, costing, taxes, freight, payment terms and other commercial requirements.
  • Monitor tender corrigenda, amendments, pre-bid meetings, clarifications and submission deadlines.
  • Ensure error-free and timely submission of tenders within the prescribed timelines.
  • Track tender opening, technical evaluation, commercial evaluation, negotiations, LOI/PO/work order and subsequent documentation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of submitted, ongoing, awarded and unsuccessful tenders.
  • Prepare regular MIS and management reports covering tender pipeline, participation, status, results and order conversion.
  • Coordinate with customers/authorities for tender-related queries, clarifications and post-submission requirements.
  • Ensure proper tracking and renewal of EMDs, BGs and other tender securities/documents.
  • Study tender trends and customer requirements to support the sales team in identifying relevant business opportunities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of all tender submissions for audit and future reference.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and all applicable tender terms, conditions and compliance requirements.

  • Graduate / Diploma / B.E./B.Tech preferred.
  • Preferred Candidate Profile
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in tender management.
  • Experience handling Government, PSU, EPC or industrial tenders.
  • Candidates from steel, wire rope, engineering, manufacturing or industrial product companies will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of technical and commercial tender documentation.
  • Should be comfortable coordinating with multiple internal departments and external customers.
  • Strong follow-up, documentation, communication and deadline-management skills.
  • Should be detail-oriented and capable of independently managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
