3 Idea Technology is looking for an experienced Production Incharge to take complete responsibility for the filament manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete production process, ensuring production targets, product quality, process efficiency and timely dispatch.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in filament manufacturing / polymer processing / extrusion, with strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, manpower management and quality control.
What you'll do
- Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of day-to-day filament manufacturing operations.
- Plan and execute production as per customer requirements and production targets.
- Manage the complete filament manufacturing process from raw material preparation to finished filament.
- Monitor extrusion, cooling, sizing, winding and packing processes.
- Ensure consistent filament diameter, roundness, surface finish, colour and overall quality.
- Monitor machine parameters and troubleshoot production/process-related issues.
- Ensure optimum machine utilisation and minimise production downtime.
- Manage production manpower, shift planning and operator allocation.
- Monitor raw material consumption, wastage and production yield.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Dispatch teams for smooth production.
- Implement process improvements to improve productivity, quality and reduce wastage.
- Maintain production records, batch records and daily production reports.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Identify recurring production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and guide production operators on processes, machines and quality requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of production schedules and orders.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S within the production area.
What we're looking for
- Candidate Profile
- 10–12 years of experience in filament manufacturing, extrusion, polymer processing or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in filament extrusion/manufacturing will be preferred.
- Good understanding of polymers, extrusion processes, temperature control, cooling and winding.
- Experience in handling production machinery and troubleshooting process issues.
- Strong manpower and shift management experience.
- Good understanding of production planning, quality control, wastage and productivity.
- Should be capable of independently managing the complete production function.
- Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills.
