About the role
We are hiring for the position of Senior Operator / Line-In-Charge for our Atgaon Filament Plant. The candidate will be responsible for handling and monitoring the filament extrusion line, ensuring smooth production operations, maintaining process parameters, and managing shop floor activities during the shift.
What you'll do
- Start and operate extrusion line as per SOP
- Monitor and control process parameters (zone temperatures, screw RPM, die pressure, puller speed)
- Handle pressure deviations and diameter alarms
- Maintain production and parameter logs
- Perform shutdown and purge sequence activities
- Conduct pre-shift equipment and machine checks
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for machine issues
- Train junior operators and support shift handover activities
- Escalate unresolved production deviations to Project Head
What we're looking for
- ITI (Plastics / Mechanical) / Polymer Engineering
- Experience in plastics extrusion / polymer processing / cable or wire manufacturing
- Knowledge of single-screw extruder operations
- Understanding of temperature controllers, PID tuning, and drive panels
- Familiarity with filament extrusion, cable, pipe, or profile extrusion processes
