About the role
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Designer who can independently manage the complete product design and development cycle, starting from understanding the requirement and creating the design/concept to preparing the final design and getting the product 3D printed / manufactured.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial/product design and must have previously handled projects from designing to physical execution.
What you'll do
- Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, concepts, dimensions, functionality and design briefs.
- Create industrial/product designs and 3D models based on requirements.
- Develop concepts, prototypes and design iterations as required.
- Convert concepts into production-ready 3D designs/models.
- Prepare files suitable for 3D printing and manufacturing.
- Coordinate and execute the complete process from design → prototyping → 3D printing → final product.
- Operate or coordinate with the 3D printing team to produce prototypes and finished parts.
- Identify and resolve design issues during prototyping and printing.
- Modify designs based on prototype output, functionality and aesthetics.
- Work closely with technical, production and application teams for product execution.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, fit, functionality, appearance and overall product quality.
- Maintain design files, revisions, drawings and technical documentation.
- Research materials, manufacturing methods and new product/design possibilities.
- Ensure projects are completed within defined timelines from initial concept to final physical output.
What we're looking for
- Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Design / Product Design.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and product development.
- Experience in end-to-end product design execution.
- Must have independently worked on projects involving design + prototyping + 3D printing/manufacturing.
- Good understanding of 3D printing technologies and processes.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances and design for manufacturing.
- Ability to convert an idea/concept into a physical product.
- Strong design sense with an understanding of aesthetics as well as functionality.
- Good problem-solving and prototyping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to completion.
- Preferred Software Knowledge
- SolidWorks
- Fusion 360
- Rhino
- AutoCAD
- Blender / KeyShot or other 3D rendering software
- Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
- Important: Candidates who have only worked on 3D modelling/designing without actual end-to-end product execution and physical prototyping/3D printing experience will not be preferred.
